The winter forecasts are over (even though there was snow above 10,000ft this weekend).
But don’t fear, pretty lady!
Summer forecasts are here!

This storm on Mon/Tue should produce dust, but beyond that it’s hard to tell. We got a little lucky this year as the desert in AZ had a lot of snow/rain earlier in the season, which kept the dust down. But now…we’re not so lucky as the desert dries out.

I agree, kinda. The April sun is strong, so if you don’t get after it very early on Saturday and the sun comes out, the pow will turn to muck. Friday could be good storm skiing, and Saturday AM first thing could be very good.

8-10 inches in Farmers Corner of Breck, south end of lake. We got hammered last night.

Maddog. Joel is (of course) totally right about sun this time of year. If looking for the best chance to ski good powder snow on Saturday (possibly bluebird) I think it can be done. Try to go as high as possible N aspects. I think Rollins Pass and Cameron Pass areas will be best. Just make sure you / your party is very good at evaluating stability… it will be tricky!

Loveland was pretty epic today (Saturday), especially if you ducked ropes. Had to pick my lines through the trees before I started skiing, because once I got going, I was in the white room! Calf to knee deep on the main runs. Fluffy waist+ deep powder in the stashes. Amazing chalk on the ridge. Definitely in my top 3 days of the season. Even found a few pillow playgrounds (had to sacrifice my skis a bit). My first time ever at Loveland and I’m definately going back. Here’s to giggling like a school girl in the powder! I still can’t wipe the smile off my face.

The powder was unreal this weekend- yet it went entirely un-forecasted! The resorts may be closed but that doesn’t mean everyone stops skiing (and checking your site…). Keep them coming!
